New Moon in Sagittarius: Dare to Dream
This New Moon is full of understated anticipation. Jupiter's celebratory return to his home has given way to a feeling of quiet optimism. That feeling we had a couple of months ago of having to make the most of a handful of equally repulsive options is totally gone. We paid our dues. And now our diligence and willingness to do the hard work is about to pay off big time.
Big Daddy is ready to open the doors of abundance and let everyone in.
But hold on. We might think our ship has come in and everything is going to be sunshine and roses forever but we would be so wrong. That's the thing with Jupiter. He is so beguiling and intoxicating. He brings so many opportunities and when he's around everything seems possible. He gasses us up and we can easily lose sight of what's real and what isn't. And when he's gone and the party leaves, we can be left with a lot of debt, having put ourselves in a position which is unsustainable and unrealistic.
The real gift that Jupiter gives us, if we approach him in the right way, is the gift of faith. Faith and hope are not the same thing. Faith is actually tethered in reality, in accurate self-knowledge, knowing who we are and what our limitations are, and in an accurate understanding of the environment we're working in. While the final outcome may not be known and may not be assured, faith provides the strong foundation. When we have mastered our Saturn lessons, Jupiter season become an opportunity to reap what we have sown. Saturn is active in the background of this New Moon, ready to provide support and guidance. Without the Saturn balance, Jupiter will have us out there, just haphazardly jumping on every new and shiny thing, and foolishly hoping that somehow it will all work out.
This New Moon is the perfect time for manifestation rituals. I drew the 6 of Pentacles in my tarot draw for the New Moon period. The 6 of Earth is about generosity and the giving and receiving of gifts. The energy is conducive for opening ourselves up to new opportunities, and there are plenty to be had right now. Jupiter gives us that extra boost in confidence so that we can see and truly visualize things working out for us. That extra boost can push us past our self-imposed fears.
Dare to dream. Dare to be outrageous. Dare to do that thing which you know in the back of your mind you can do but have always been too afraid to try. Jupiter has your back now. This is the time. This is the place.
