HOLY HERETIC SUNDAY MEDITATION – February 10, 2019
“i can’t hear anythin
but maddening screams
& the soft strains of death
& you promised me
you promised me
somebody/anybody
sing a black girl’s song
bring her out
to know herself
to know you
but sing her rhythms
carin/struggle/hard times
sing her song of life
she’s been dead so long
closed in silence so long
she doesn’t know the sound
of her own voice
her infinite beauty
she’s half-notes scattered
without rhythm/no tune
sing her sighs
sing the song of her possibilities
sing a righteous gospel
the makin of a melody
let her be born
let her be born
& handled warmly.” – lady in brown, for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf by Ntozake Shange

Today’s featured transit: Moon, Mars, and Uranus conjunct in Aries

Today’s action: Look at yourself in the mirror today. Notice and appreciate the things about you, whether physical attributes or aspects of your personality, which society has told you are wrong. Notice them and handle them warmly.

Today’s sharing: The most radical act one can do in a society which hates you is to love yourself and share that joy with others who are like you. And then, together, share the joy of your existence with the entire world.
