New Moon in Scorpio: The Sleeping Giant Awakens

"I feel that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

There's really no evidence that Admiral Yamamoto, the Marshal Admiral of the Imperial Japanese Navy and commander-in-chief during World War II, actually said these words. However, it was well known that these were his sentiments. He planned the attack on Pearl Harbor but he didn't celebrate after it was done. He knew it was the beginning of the end.

After the cauldron fires were lit at the last Full Moon, we are experiencing the inevitable result. The oppressed, the neglected, the unseen and unappreciated are rising up and taking their stands. The pendulum which had swung so far in one direction has reached the end of its arc and is slowly beginning to change course.

Now is the time to set clear, firm boundaries with those who would take advantage of us. We have the warrior energy of Mars in Libra pushing us toward justice, fairness and balance in our individual relationships and in our larger societies. Squaring off against the combined energies of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, Mars is simply not satisfied with the status quo. Mars is forcing them (Saturn and Pluto) to make the changes that they know need to happen.

The battle lines are drawn and the conflict has been raging. We have been underestimated and counted out for too long. Those who have been taking advantage of us are beginning to realize how serious our resolve is. There's no going back.

Now is the time for us to realize we have more strength than we ever knew. If we hold firm, victory is within our grasp.
